Life's been a routine these past few days. . it's like classes, eat, sleep, study, classes, eat, sleep, study. . HAHAHA. quite easy life huh.
But one thing for a change is that I'm listening to korean radio live now online, instead of 98.7. LOL. plus,I'm avidly learning korean, which includes the alphabets and new vocabs. I think now I'm able to read some korean words, but at a very extremely slow speed. but I'm still not able to understand fully what I'm reading cos the vocab is extensive okae.LOL.
anyway, for a break from the routine and studying the past week, met my mum at 9am at tiong market for breakffast before heading over to church. then after church, went over to town for lunch and then hello! shop to settle some of her Hi! card thingy. yeah, then we headed over to cold storage to buy her Dashi soup base cos she wanted to make chawanmushi. well, she copied the recipe from a magazine and now she wants to try. well, yeah, we couldn't find the dashi thingy and decided to ask the japanese sushi chef for help. And hold and behold, he started rambling off in jap and heading off to the direction of the dashi thingy. OMG. HAHAHA!and he was pointing everywhere and anywhere at those bases that can be used to make chawanmushi, while I stood there and looked at him in confusion. and my mum was walking arond with the chef trying to get her attention to explain how to make the chawanmushi. and I was just watching the drama, laughing, until a lady came to our rescue, and translated. HAHAHA! LIKE FINALLY. well, we managed to find the stuffs and after that I decided to make sushi for dinner. so we shopped for the mat, seaweed, rice, cucumbers, crabmeat. HAHAHA! and the sushi mix, since my mum said we don't have vinegar at home. -.-" and I wonder why. but anyway, once we were home, she plopped onto the bed and slept, leaving me to do everything. -.- still say want to try to make chawanmushi herself. in the end I made it. but she destroyed it. HAHAHA! cos I waited for her to wake up before steaming it, but when she woke up my hands were dirty cos I was busy rolling the sushi. so she put it down to steam but forgot all about it cos she wants to watch me roll sushis. yeah, ended up like a wrinkled chawanmushi. HAHAHA! but the taste was good except for the fact that it's wrinkled.LOL. it took me 2 hours to finish everything larh, from cutting, frying the egg, mixing the base for the chawanmushi, and making the rice. well, sushi was good! as quoted from my cousins, aunties, uncle and grandma. LOL. I made too much and my mum had to go deliver some to my grandma and cousins staying nearby. LOL. and they said it's good! HAHAHA. a ugly but good and healthy food. =D
