national day parade 2008 was really FUN. haha! i still haven't gotten the photos back from my aunt but i will post them up here as soon as i get it alright. =)well, i was supposed to get up at 0630 on that day to go with my mum and aunties for the walk on the bridge thingy but i just couldn't get up. haha! obviously i can't get up la. 0630 leh! siao. haha! there's no way you're going to drag me out my comfort and cozy bed at that crazy hour after only sleeping 4 hrs the night before. siao siao siao. haha! so in the end my mum gave up and left without me. haha! i only woke up when she got home.lol! which was arnd 1200 plus la. not that late. =) anyways,she actually went to hangten with my aunties to buy the ndp tee. omg, haha! of all things.and im supposed to wear that to the parade along with my aunties and mum. eeeee. yeah la, the aunty spirit! lol. but i still wore it there okae!! haha! i couldn't be bothered with what i wore then cos i was so excited to watch the parade.alright! into the parade! started of with the pre-parade programme then i got excited when the contingents came out. hahaha! i love to watch this part! then i got overexcited when the guard of honours came out. hahaha! my favs! esp commandos. hahaha! i bet my brother was like happy when he saw that they got the best battalion again. lol! he was also watching the parade over in aussie at some gathering where all singaporeans gather to watch the parade together. alright, back to the parade. well, i was practically squealing and cheering at the edge of my seat. lol! and i think the two guys seating a seat away from me probably thought i was eccentric.lol! i was practically snapping shots after shots of the commandos and a few of the others. hahaha!then came the most most anticipated part of the parade. THE BLACK KNIGHTS! hahaha! SUPERBBBB!~ my mouth was practically hanging open in awe. when they were coming on for the show everyone was frantically fishing out whatever they had, cams, hps, camcorders just to capture that moment. when they flew pass right above us, it was awesome.haha!the feel was just shiok-ness. haha!it wasn't as loud as when during practise when they flew pass my house. then they came back for the proper show, where they did all those stunts. it was heart-stopping la. i was thinking that if they really crash, we all would die cos they will just crash into us below. but obviously that tragedy didn't happen. lol. but it was just a great view of them performing.right in front of my eyes. haha! and the heart they made was so sweet and cool at the same time. hahaha! if any guy would do it for me, haha! i will be totally swept away by him. haha!but obviously that won't happen, cos who in the world would get the chance to fly the plane like that out of the blue. hahaha! well, then came the part of the vertical climb which was cool, but the audiences made me think it was quite, a lil bit funny. haha! when the plane was going up, they were all Oohhs and Ahhs.when it's still going up after a few more secs, they were like, ahh..still going up?! and when it's gone from sight after witnessing a final spark of the turbo, they were like HUH?! GONE AH?! DISAPPEAR! HAHAHA! DUNNO GO WHERE. HAHAHA! i was like -.- haha! but it was really quite funny to see that last spark. it's like in cartoons where a character gets kicked out into space and there's this last spark before it really disappears? haha! yeah, that's how it is. whatever the case, IT WAS BRILLIANT!after that is the performances which i showed little interest cos after watching the beijing olympics opening, it was kind of and anti-climax. but the fireworks were magical!! i love them. it was like bursting into life in front of my eyes, spilling all over the cool night sky. i like the gold ones which hung for a longer time in the sky like some sparkling painting all over. simply captivating. yeah, then the after party was fun! haha! after the live telecast finished, a deejay came up and started playing music which got the crowd so high. haha!it was FUN la. haha! cool-ness. =Dafter that we WALKED over to lau pa sat for our late dinner. yeah WALKED. omg, freaking far. but the night was cool becauseof the rain earlier so it wasn't that bad. and i was wearing shorts not jeans so i won't threaten to take them off. hahaha! the atmosphere was great there at lau pa sat cos there was a live band there and lots of people. and by the time i headed home i was dead tired. hahaha! what a draining activity to be just watching the parade. lol! those people who performed must be feeling a thousand times worse. haha! i must admit that initially i was pissed at those planes flying arnd my house early in the morning, practising for the parade and waking me up from my beauty sleep. but now i feel it's all worth it. haha! they actually spent 120 hrs practising their flight routines. wow. kudos man!anyways, im tired. so goodnight!on a side note,econs was senseless today. especially so for me without any background to boot.well, some of them with background also seems lost as what i can see. i feel so noob in the class of so many who had a levels econs background. all the terms were like alien to me. roar! i want to eat all of them up. and the lecturer's not helping by having a mini-in-class-qn-and-ans-and-must-hand-in-on-the-spot next lect. what crap, just say test la. what's the diff man. say so much and it still means test.lol.i will need more practise before i can fully grasp what she taught today la. haiz,im a noob. lol! okae, goodnight!
